The Organized and Playful Mind: A Workshop with Pedro de Alcantara
Our lives are made of the dialogue between improvisation (the playful mind) and structure (the organized mind). Good health is the balance between these two aspects of existence.

Everyone has access to two modes of working: improvisation and structure. These are ways of looking at things, ways of approaching a situation, ways of responding to problems or to any task. You can develop both modes separately and—more importantly—in dynamic opposition.
Improvisation is playful, informal, and sometimes non-intellectual (“silly”). Structure is though out, analytical, and usually sober-minded.
It’s good to know how and when to be silly, how and when to be sober-minded, how and when to pass from one to the other, and how and when to integrate both aspects in a single frame of mind: playful yet thoughtful.
In this workshop we’ll play silly games with a serious goal, and serious games with a light-hearted goal. Most of the games involve communication and language.
